I made a patty melt last night and it was delicious! Here's what it contained:

Patty

• Ground beef
• Fresh chopped garlic
• Chopped red onions
• Worcestershire sauce
• Season all

I cooked them in vegetable oil and made sure they were wide and flat.

I put them on sandwich bread pan toasted in butter. I had melted brie, melted cheddar, 2 pickles, and sweet, honey pecan BBQ sauce. Really delicious.

Beth also made her Pear and Gorgonzola salad. So good!

Loco mocos and homemade panna cotta!

Loco Mocos are a Hawaiian dish. Steamed rice, hamburger patties, brown gravy, and fried eggs. Hot sauce is good too!

pork loin chops topped with thyme, pear slices, and a drizzle of honey - baked for a bit and broiled to finish off. also, some butternut squash with a little ginger and a bunch of autumn-ish spices.

End of the week, we're tired. Lobster Ravioli (costco) with a red, vodka sauce (Lucky's), and topped with flaked parmesan cheese. On the left Beth made a delicious Pear and Gorgonzola cheese salad with a vinaigrette and pecans.

My mom was here for the morning so I took her, her friend, and Beth to Ella's. It's a pretty good breakfast place just up the street.

Beth's omelette...

Inside it had zuchini, goat cheese, tomatoes, bacon...

My scramble with big chunky sausage, roasted garlic, and muenster cheese (leeks too). So good.

Ozumo's in Santa Monica was definitely a highlight of the roadtrip - got to catch up with a long lost friend who actually is the manager of the restaurant and got to enjoy some really good dishes.

This was from our roadtrip to LA - just now getting around to uploading all the pics. Normally I would just mobile post, but Google doesn't allow me to upload multiple pics via mobile. boo.

Anyway, we stuff ourselves silly at Oggi's and watched the Giant's vs. Phillies.

I apologize for the photos and how they are upside down. Blogger refuses to upload them in the format they are shown on my desktop so I give up.

Regardless, delicious fried chicken, jalapeño corn bread, mac and cheese, and seasoned fries. We should have gotten the waffle! But, still tasty as all heck.

This is a fantastic Greek restaurant. I knew my mom (who is in town) really enjoys a Greek place back home in Houston, so I wanted to take her to one that was simply stellar.

Complimentary olives to start

Squash that had a lot of garlic. Very tasty.

What's left of a Greek fried cheese, covered in lemon and Oregano. Love this.

Close up of the heirloom tomato salad, with capers, feta, olive oil, and some green leafy thing.

Remnants of the Gigantes, huge beans with feta, tomato sauce, and more. Incredible dish.

Beth's Ravioli. She said it was good, but nothing too special.

Amazing casserole. Topped with gooey, melted cheese. 

Inside is ground lamb, potatoes, eggplant, a creamy bechemel, and the hint of cinnamon.
